Hope – Self Isolation Mindset

Hope – Self Isolation Mindset

So here I am… at the start of my Blog journey… And my, haven’t I chosen to begin at such a precarious time, but to be honest, I couldn’t think of a better time to start… We are most definitely entering into one of the most unprecedented states of being for our generation and for many other generations. However, how I see it, is this is just one of the many curveballs that are thrown at us in life, granted this is a slightly unusual type of curveball, but it is is a curveball nevertheless. And whats the saying, “when life throws us lemons, make lemonade…“, but no seriously, this is a time to test our character, to test our resolve, to learn about ourselves, during this period of solitary isolation –  a time to not focus on the chaotic-ness of life, but to focus on what’s actually dear and important to us – and hell to be honest, I bet during this period of isolation, we will have what we may have once perceived to be dear and important to us, challenged. So lets not see this as three months of our lives what we have lost, but actually as a time to gain, a holiday from the ‘norms of life’, a pause on life, a chance to learn or do something new, to love harder, to talk more, embrace gratitude, learn a new perspective, to look further than your front door and outside of our own life bubble and look out for others around us and take comfort from being a community. But most of all, lets hang on to Hope, hope that we will not only learn from this period of time but hope that we as a person, society, nation, world will not forget the lessons that we are already learning and will learn during this period of isolation.

Hope is being able to see there is light, despite all of the darkness.
